Local Youth Group
Before Board on the Waterside was born, Matt had set up in Partnership with Fawley Youth Life, a club for young people to come together and play table top games.
Called - “We are Board”
For ages 11 and up the club meets every two weeks on a Saturday afternoon at the Jubilee Hall, Fawley. 2pm to 4:30pm.
The club teaches the young people social skills, how to cope with winning and loosing and gives them the knowledge to play a variety of table top games.
Some of the young people have stayed on to become ‘young leaders’ and now help with set up and new members to help them settle in.

Award Winning
As part of his volunteer work with young people, Matt was nominated for and won this years, Police and Crime Commissioners - Youth Engagement Award.
This was a great achievement for Matt and he was extremely happy to have won the award.
Lights Camera Action Drama School
Earlier this year, Board on the Waterside was approached by the local drama school, Lights Camera Action Screen Acting School to use our space as part of a film project they were producing.
More than happy to help, the film crew, cameras and actors descended upon the store to film a number of scenes that would be used in their short film.
It was a brilliant morning and a true insight into how much work goes into creating such things.
